Further global expansion at our European campus in Dundalk
Almac previously confirmed that it secured new premises in Dundalk, Ireland in January 2017 as part of its ongoing global expansion strategy, to meet client demand and to address any potential challenges that may arise due to Brexit.

Opening of £20 million cold chain facility
Almac announced the completion of a £20 million investment in its cold chain management capabilities with the opening of a 95,000sq ft custom built cold store facility at its global headquarters in Northern Ireland.
Almac accolades
Almac Group partnered with the Hans Sloane Trust Memorial Fund to create a new award for Northern Ireland’s brightest GCSE students.
The winner of the Hans Sloane medal was Jamie Brannigan, a former pupil of St Colman’s College, Newry, who was also presented with a certificate and a cheque for £500.

Almac outreach
Almac hosted 30 teachers from NI schools as part of the CCEA Teacher Insight Programme that aims to expose teachers to the variety of occupations available in the Northern Ireland workforce. It aspires to raise the profile of the skills and qualities required by young people to ensure they are ‘work ready’.
Dr. Frances Weldon, STEM Outreach Manager at Almac Group delivered a workshop to the MSc students at the University College, Cork - "Almac - where our future meets with yours". The workshop involved students participating in team problem solving challenges and discussing instrumentation and Analytical techniques for troubleshooting of unknown compounds.
