Almac Clinical Services is made up of many departments, including Project Services, Quality, Manufacturing, Business Development and Logistics. The principle function of the Project Services department is the day-to-day management of all Almac Clinical Services customers.  The department coordinates all aspects of the delivery of a customer’s clinical trial project as specified in the initial quotation.  In order to achieve this, the department is divided into the Customer Support Group and an Operations Support Group.  The Operations Support Group is further divided into two key areas:  Production and Distribution.

Below is a brief outline of how the department is structured.

Catherine Gordon 2.jpg(Catherine Gordon, Project Manager – Distribution)

“I am currently a Project Manager in Clinical Services.  I started with the company in 2011 and had no pharmaceutical experience before joining Almac, I completed a Business Degree and my work background was in sales and purchasing.  The role of a Project Manager is varied and involves the day-to-day management of customers.  It is challenging and working on different types of clinical trials is very interesting – it is rewarding to see progress on the advancement of new drugs in trials we have worked on.  I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients all over the world, visiting clients in Germany, as well as working with project staff from other Almac facilities in USA and Asia – it is really interesting to meet people from different cultural backgrounds”.
